The effects of Na additive on the elemental sulfur production during the H2regeneration and on the SO2 sorption capacity for the regenerated Nadoped CuO/Al2O3 were investigated. The results show that the elemental sulfur yield and the SO2 sorption capacity of Na doped CuO/Al2O3 are 1.3 times that of CuO/Al2O3 at 400℃. The addition of Na significantly increases the sulfation of Al2O3 to form Al2(SO4)3 that can be partially regenerated at temperatures lower than 400℃ due to the existence of Na and Cu in the CuO/Al2O3 sorbent.
